SHERRI NADER is one of the three clinical psychologists working for Los Angeles Unified School District providing various services to children from elementary to high school. She has more than 15 years of experience working with adolescents and their families in various situations providing clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. She conducts clinical practice with an emphasis on the best Evidence Based Practice Interventions available based on research. Dr. Nader is also an active member of the crisis intervention team for the school district serving schools in time of crisis.

Dr. Nader is an adjunct faculty at USC, Graduate School of Social Work. She teaches first year foundation as well as advanced clinical courses.

Prior to the faculty appointment, Dr. Nader worked in various government agencies and has maintained a private practice since 2001 working with individuals, couples, children/adolescents, and families. Dr. Nader is fluent in Farsi.

Previously, Dr. Nader worked for Los Angeles County's In Home Supportive Services for 13 years performing geriatric social work and services to disabled adults. Her areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, mood disorder, relationship problems, anger management, stress management, cross cultural issues, trauma, sexual orientation, crisis intervention, and parenting skills training.

Dr. Nader is a consultant and independent contractor for the California Bar Association's Lawyer Assistance Program. She also is a frequent guest on Time TV and Omid e Iran conducting interviews regarding Iranian immigrants, acculturation issues, inter-generational difficulties and adaptation to the main stream culture.

Dr. Nader is currently affiliated with the National Association of Social Workers, American Psychological Association, National Alliance of Professional Psychology Providers, Los Angeles County Psychological Association, and Iranian Psychological Association of America in which she held the position of secretary.
